2nd Annual Kiswire Pro-Am Event Recap 

We kicked off the 2024 Kiswire Pro-Am event with a Sponsor dinner on Monday evening with a crowd of nearly 55 attendees.  This was a chance for the Foundation to recognize and thank our generous sponsors.  We also had the great opportunity to honor a devoted employee of the Newberry County Sheriff's Department, Rusty Fulmer, with an award for his selfless service, commitment and dedication.  Additionally, we were delighted to present a donation to the Newberry County Sherriff's Department to assist with their agency needs.

On Tuesday, we had a beautiful September day with a full field of 29 Professionals and 87 Amateurs, all connected by their love for the game & in support of our First Responders.  The format for the event was one best ball gross and one best ball net of the foursome (1 professional & 3 amateurs) in addition to the Professionals competing on their own ball. 

Hat's off to Zach Calhoun with an impressive score of 67, securing the Low Professional title.  Rising to the top in the team competition, we had a 2 way tie with both teams shooting an impressive low score of 124!  They were the team of Rick Morton (Professional), Steve Liebler, Rick Crout & Don Long and the team of Kitty Nicastro (Professional), Luke Boatright, Tony Boatright & Snapper Mathis.

A special highlight of this event every year is the luncheon we provide to Newberry County First Responders the day of the tournament.  Mid Carolina Member, Chris "Red" Mitchell & Mid Carolina General Manager/Superintendent Scott Crouch were the grill masters for the tournament luncheon as well as the First Responders luncheon and did a wonderful job grilling for all to partake.  We had a great turnout feeding around 150 First Responders from Newberry County not including the to go plates to take back to those on duty.
